Product Safety & Use Notice

Replacement parts can restore useful products, but material, geometry, load, installation, temperature, chemicals, and the original product's condition all matter.

1. Replacement parts can differ from OEM parts

Unless expressly stated, a Xahelo replacement is not an OEM part and may use a different material, manufacturing process, geometry revision, surface finish, color, or internal structure.

A difference is not necessarily a defect, but it can affect stiffness, fatigue life, heat resistance, chemical resistance, friction, wear, electrical behavior, or failure mode. Intended use must be considered before installation.

2. Safety-critical applications

Ordinary Xahelo parts must not be treated as approved for life-supporting, flight-critical, braking, steering, occupant-restraint, medical, fire-protection, pressure-retaining, child-safety, protective-equipment, structural life-safety, or similar high-consequence use merely because a part can be manufactured or physically fits.

A high-risk application requires an explicit Xahelo acceptance under an appropriate qualified process. Payment, AI identification, a catalog match, ordinary dimensional inspection, or a standard QC PASS is not by itself regulatory certification.

3. Inspection and installation

  • Inspect the part and the surrounding original product before installation.
  • Confirm mounting points, clearances, fasteners, orientation, moving interfaces, and material/environmental conditions.
  • Use a competent installer when the product or application requires specialized knowledge.
  • Do not force a part into position, drill or heat it to make it fit, or use damaged fasteners unless the applicable repair procedure supports that action.
  • Stop if installation would require a modification that could create a safety risk.

4. Additive-manufacturing considerations

Layer orientation, wall thickness, infill, moisture, thermal history, print defects, material batch, post-processing, and geometry can affect additively manufactured part behavior.

A material name alone does not establish a mechanical property or regulatory rating for the finished part. Order-specific requirements control when provided.

5. Heat, chemicals, UV, load, and wear

Do not expose a part to temperatures, chemicals, sunlight, water, food contact, electrical conditions, dynamic loads, or other environments outside the intended scope unless the material and design were selected for those conditions.

Periodically inspect parts subject to wear, repeated load, vibration, heat cycling, or outdoor exposure.

6. Stop-use and safety reporting

Stop using a part if it cracks, softens, warps, becomes loose, interferes with another mechanism, develops unusual wear, or appears to create an unsafe condition.

Report a suspected safety defect or incident promptly to support@xahelo.com with the order number, product information, and a factual description. Preserve the part when safe to do so so the issue can be investigated.

Safety reports are not treated only as customer-service claims. Xahelo will evaluate credible safety information for stop-sale, quarantine, customer notification, recall, corrective action, and regulatory-reporting obligations that may apply. Where consumer-product safety law requires a report to a regulator, Xahelo will not rely on these Terms or a confidentiality request to avoid that reporting obligation.

Xahelo may update this policy prospectively when its services, legal obligations, or business practices change. Material changes will be identified by an updated effective date and, when appropriate, an additional notice.
