Uploads, CAD & compatibility

Intellectual Property & Copyright Policy

This policy explains ownership of customer uploads, Xahelo's processing license, descriptive compatibility references, and how to report suspected infringement.

Effective August 13, 2026Questions: support@xahelo.com

1. Customer material

Customers keep the intellectual-property rights they already own in their photos, CAD files, drawings, and specifications. Uploading material does not transfer ownership to Xahelo.

The customer grants Xahelo the limited rights reasonably necessary to store, analyze, technically transform, manufacture from, quality-check, fulfill, and support the requested work, as described in the Terms.

2. Authority to request work

The customer must have a lawful basis to provide the material and request the manufacturing or reverse-engineering work. Ownership of a physical object does not automatically mean every associated patent, copyright, trademark, trade-secret, or contractual restriction disappears.

Xahelo may decline work when authorization is unclear or a credible rights concern exists.

3. Repair and reverse engineering

Xahelo may inspect and measure a physical part, use customer photographs, or create replacement geometry for repair and replacement purposes. Whether a particular act is legally permitted can depend on the product, rights involved, jurisdiction, contract terms, and intended use.

Xahelo does not promise that every requested reproduction is free of third-party rights merely because the original part is broken or unavailable.

4. Catalog publication

Private customer submissions do not automatically become public catalog assets.

Before a part is promoted into Xahelo's reusable catalog, Xahelo may require quality evidence, compatibility evidence, rights review, removal of customer-confidential information, and other publication gates.

5. Brand and model references

Third-party brand names, model names, and part numbers may be used for truthful identification or compatibility description. Unless expressly stated, such references do not imply sponsorship, affiliation, endorsement, or OEM status.

6. Copyright and IP complaints

A rights holder who believes material on Xahelo infringes their rights may send a detailed complaint to support@xahelo.com. Include identification of the work or right, the material or URL at issue, contact information, the basis of the claim, and a statement that the complaint is accurate and made in good faith.

Xahelo may remove or restrict material while a credible complaint is reviewed and may request additional information from the complainant or affected user.

This public complaint process does not represent that Xahelo has registered a DMCA designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office. Certain online-service-provider safe harbors require both public posting of designated-agent contact information and registration of that agent with the U.S. Copyright Office. Xahelo must complete and maintain those steps separately before claiming the applicable safe-harbor benefit.

Xahelo may update this policy prospectively when its services, legal obligations, or business practices change. Material changes will be identified by an updated effective date and, when appropriate, an additional notice.
