Good candidates
Low-volume plastic components, covers, brackets, knobs, clips, spacers, guides, housings, adapters, and other non-prohibited parts may be good candidates when geometry and operating conditions fit the selected process.
3D printing can be excellent for low-volume replacement parts, difficult sourcing situations, iterative engineering, and geometry that does not justify traditional tooling. We still treat manufacturability and application risk as engineering questions.

The material on the original part may have been chosen for injection molding, cost, tooling, or production scale. A replacement made by additive manufacturing can require a different material or design strategy to achieve the needed behavior.
We do not treat a printable model as automatic permission to manufacture. Critical fit, use conditions, approved recipes, validation jobs, and QC evidence remain separate gates.
